Hello Everyone! Hope your Sunday was wonderful! I was going to do a capsule wardrobe outfit but it was sooo cold out this morning I had to switch and grab something else. I still thought I'd share with you! This time, I set up my camera on a fence post, a little safer than a tree. :)

PURPLE VIBES

(It was in the 40s out so you can understand my position)

I beaded this necklace!

Hello, All! Spring is the most wonderful season, isn't it? Except that it snowed briefly, tell-tale signs of spring are poking about. Since I live in the woods, I can notice the changes around. The trees still don't have a single green twig on them but dozens of violets and dandelions are becoming invasive all over our property! Well, to get to the point, this week I had the idea to find a fashion challenge online. I looked and found many but they all went on for 30 or so days. I wanted to find a short one with a lot of detail so I created my own "Modest Fashion Challenge." It goes on for only 5 days and this week I will personally model what I put together and even create a layout for ya'll in case you'd like to tag along! I am excited and can't wait to put something gorgeous together!

Aren't these flowers lovely? Just a little sneak-peak of my garden.

Stay tuned,

Hi All! Sorry forever for not posting on Saturday, it got busy. Well, to start the day off I have been evolving a post in my head and I decided on this. "The 5 elements to spot in photography." So basically, when you take a photo, do you usually just hold that shutter-release- button down and NEVER stop to look at what your photos look like? Well if you do, I encourage you to "edit" the photo while in shooting till it's perfect, then take it. If I take my time, I for sure can take 20 photos and have all 20 turn out than taking 200 quick photos and getting 10 good pictures. So to get lovely photos every time, check off these tips before you snap a photo.

1: Light!!! Make sure the photo isn't too dark and it's even better if you get a sun flare in the background to enhance your photo. Taking photos in the Golden Hour ( twilight and early morning ) can get some dazzling photos with some coveted lighting. Plus, if the lighting is good, no need to edit your photos and spend extra time over them. I personally rarely edit my photos, maybe just to sometimes sharpen the photo or to *vivid-ize (*word or no word? XD) it because I take my time to find some awesome lighting.

This photo would have been boring without the flower and some extra movement

2: Do you have an interesting subject? Sure, not every photo is INTERESTING but say you're capturing a flower photo, wouldn't it be cooler if you sprinkled little bits of water over its petals? Or even find a flower with an insect on it, now that's a winner. You want to capture a photo that is not hum-drum but has interest involved in it.

3: Get 3 different angles of the subject, above, under, and straight on. Perspective is the key!

4: Ask yourself " Am I following the rule of thirds?" The rule of thirds is placing your subject in off-centered composition. So basically, don't put your subject in the middle unless necessary ( I do make that mistake often...).

5: Create your own personal touch to your photography so when others view it, they can see your photo's unique-ness and recognize who took it . To make my photos ME I usually create photos that are vivid and colorful...I can't exactly explain it but my photos look like me and I have created my own style.

Have a fabulous day and hope these tips help you take 5-star-photos!

Cheerio,

Kalea J.
