I am the most un-scheduled person in the universe. I never post on the right day! ;0

How have you all been? With the month of May comes flowers and birds and also my camera goes crazy. Today I will be sharing with you all some of my favorites in the "Bird Zone" and also a very old special letter that dates back to..

This Scarlet Tanager hit our window one morning and I was able to snap a few gorgeous photos of this beauty before it flew away

Is this a bunting or a sparrow? LOL, I don't know!

Goldfinches are so common but I never get tired of a little bit of yellow sunshine! :))))

These Orials visit very briefly but I treasure their photos!

One more! If birds had glamour shots I am sure this would be one of their poses! LOL. XD

Hello Friends!

Today I am doing a collab with the wonderful Ella Marie from February Fairy. You can find her terrific blog here. We are going to talk about joy, a very joyful subject! :)

So first thing is, are you a naturally joyful, bubbly, person? Maybe you are or maybe you aren't but here are a few suggestions that you have the choice to use that may change your outlook on life and make it more cheery and full of joy.

HOW TO FIND JOY:

(my picture)

1: If you expect happiness, you probably won't find joy and you most definitely won't find happiness! Joy should be something that stays with us whether we're having a happy day or not. Joy is based on truth; the reasons we should be joyful and happiness is based on the happenings of life. Some days are bad, some days are good. Joy can always hold a place in our heart while happiness might jump in and out depending on events. This tip helped me: Don't expect the perfect day and the littlest things will surprise and delight you.

2: "The best way to cheer yourself up is to cheer someone else up."-Mark Twain. This quote is really true. Do you find that when you serve, you enjoy helping even though you are working? So that is another awesome point and quote that helps me find joy.

3: Listen to classical music-studies show that this peaceful, bright, and excited sort of music can change your mood, try out the Brandenburg Concertos-they are awesome and I listen to them all the time!

4: Be reminded by this beautiful verse from Romans 15:13: May the God of hope fill you with joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

5: You are alive! You may not like your situation in life but you CAN learn to have natural joy and possibly even change your perspective by finding the best in everything. To start it off try: Not complaining, smile all the time, remember that you've been blessed with so many joyous times so just focus on them when you're down, and be the sunshine in someone's life when THEY are down, If things go wrong and joy seems impossible to find remember that God will work everything out for good in its time.

So keep a good attitude, read verses about joy, and think of joyfulness as a box filled with gifts of joy inside that you can open whenever you remember to!

LIVING JOYFULLY:

Now we'll talk about HOW to live this all out, and a few things I challenge you to do.

1: Start reading the bible on a regular basis and writing down in a notebook (especially used for bible-comprehension) what you learned and also how to apply what you learned to your life,

2: Pray a lot and ask for unexpected joy and the ability to find it.

3: Keep a joy journal of all the things that bring you joy and try to do those things often!

4: Keep a mood board. Just looking at mine makes me perk up and smile, especially because I have so many awesome quotes stuck on mine. There are many mood boards on Pinterest, go check 'em out!

5: Compliment a person a day, don't you enjoy it when you get praised, return the favor!

6: Do a hobby you love, an instant pick-me-up that can remind you what life's all about.

7: Laugh a lot and smile all the time.

8: Put little joy quotes, written on post-it notes around your space and it'll be like a little conscience, reminding you to rejoice in all things!

That's all for today, Friend! Thank you so much for reading and it would make my day to hear from all you sweet people! What gives you joy? Random Q: What color makes you feel happy?
